Birtwistles have been involved in the meat industry through 4 generations, spanning over 100 years, during which time we have gathered a wealth of knowledge and experience of the trade helping us to build the Birtwistles Food Group incorporating Birtwistles Catering Butchers, AB&S Wholesale Meat & Poultry and Entwistles Bacon.

At Birtwistles Catering Butchers we offer a quality range of products that we feel is unrivalled in this very competitive and demanding sector.  We have grown to our present position by listening to clients' needs and continued efforts to keep ahead of the fast growing and ever changing trends.  We produce in-house our own recipe sausages and burgers and cure our own bacon and gammon.

From gate to plate

We offer an approved chef training programme demonstrating from 'gate to plate'- The Steak & Lamb Experience - which can be undertaken either at our premises or at a location of your choice.

Market Reports

Every month we produce a Monthly Market Report, which is distributed to our clients keeping them up to date with the latest developments in the market and providing essential information for menu planning.  To support this we also offer Monthly Specials, which offer real alternatives to the more costly cuts.
